Apple's 5K iMac, 14.7 Million Pixels
What is up people?
Apple's annual Keynote was a pretty nice event overall. We got to see some pretty impressive pieces of tech such as the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 with Retina display. But I think Apple's 5K iMac was the thing which caught a lot of people's attention.
Apple's new iMac features an incredible 27- inch display with an insane 5210 x 2880 resolution. Yep people that's 14.7 million pixels in total. Now I know that this is the type of display which a lot of video professionals and photographers would love to get their hands on. During Apple's Keynote the words which really stuck out to me were "You've never seen the level of detail that you'll see on the new iMac."
The thing which I've always loved about the iMac is that everything is together with only that one cable running from the back of the display to the socket. It's a pretty cool idea if you think about it. You'll find a 3.5GHz Intel i5 processor in the new 5K iMac but for a pretty steep price you can bump that up to a 4GHz Intel Core i7 processor.
Apple's new iMac with Retina display has a starting price of $2,499. If you do however decide to purchase the iMac you'll also receive 8GB of memory and a 1TB drive.
