2nd Generation iPad Air may be offered in Gold

What is up people?

When the first generation iPhone came out back in 2007 it was offered solely in the color black. As the years went by Apple began to experiment with different color options for its devices. It was proven in being a major success for the company as consumers all around the world suddenly began to demand colors such as white, space grey, silver and most recently gold.

A device which has not yet been introduced to the color gold is the iPad. According to Bloomberg Apple will add a gold color option for it's full-size iPad in order to "boost a category which is in decline." To me it's not surprising at all that Apple is experiencing a decline when it comes to their tablet sales as the iPhone 6 plus features a pretty large 5.5" retina HD display.

Apple is set to unveil their brand new 9.7-inch iPads at the end of this month and will more than likely include gold as a color of choice for the rear panel of the device. Hopefully this addition will boost Apple's sales slightly as in 2010 when the iPad was first introduced the company made $5 billion. That figure continued to grow rapidly and in 2012 that figure became $30 billion. Last year that figure only rose by a disappointing $2 billion, which clearly shows a decline in the tablet market.

Apple's second generation iPad Air is also expected to feature Touch ID, a thinner design, improved cameras and a much faster processor.
