What Games am I Excited for in 2015

Now that 2014 is officially over, lets make way for the contenders for the "2015 Game of the Year Award". Seeing last year's awards night, 2015 seems pretty promising when it comes to solid and original game releases. I felt like 2014 was one big recycling campaign with all of the remastered games hitting the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox one consoles. I'm not saying that 2014 was a total flop but it was definitely lacking originality and excitement, something which I haven't seen in a while now.

Right now I'm going to go through the games which I am most excited for being released in 2015 and the ones which I will definitely be picking up throughout the course of the year.

Dying Light:

"Dying light" is an open world zombie survival game which offers various quests apart from the obvious one. Survive. The game is being made by Techland, a company based in Poland which is known for producing games such as "Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. If you have either played "Dead Island" or "Mirror's Edge" and enjoyed it, well then this is a game which you should consider picking up. "Dying Light's" main protagonist has to fight through hoards of zombies by creating makeshift weapons out of household items which are sure to get the job done. Only this time you don't have to worry about running into a dead end and being totally screwed, because the protagonist is also a free runner. "Dying Light" is set to be released on the 27 January 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The "Metal Gear Solid" franchise is considered as one of the most famous and successful franchises in the video game industry, and to be completely honest with you, I haven't played a single Metal Gear game in my life. The reason why I have yet to play Metal Gear Solid is there was always another game which got my attention. But at this years Las Vegas event something was different. Phantom Pain's graphics looked absolutely stunning and as the online demo progressed I found myself amazed by the weapons, gadgets and the numerous ways of executing an enemy whilst in stealth mode. The game is set to be released sometime in 2015 but the official date has yet to be announced. The game will be available on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Minecraft: Story Mode

"Minecraft" has always been known as the game which allows players to get as creative as much as they want. But for those of you out there who need a small push in order to get those creative juices flowing you might want to listen up. "Telltale Games" the crowd who are responsible for games such as "The Walking Dead and "The Wolf Among Us" have decided to undertake the task of bringing narrative content to the open world game. We haven't seen any footage of the game yet but I'm really anxious to know how this one is going to turn out. The game will be released as an episodic series more than likely on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. The game has not yet received a release date but I do know that it's sometime in 2015.

No Man's Sky

"No Man's Sky" is the definition of originality and it's the type of game which is pushing the industry forward. For those of you out there who are unfamiliar with the game, No Man's Sky is an open world space simulator which allows for you to create your own planet as well as fly your very own space ship to other planets created by players around the world. The game looks pretty impressive and the fact that it was made by a small indie team even makes it more extraordinary. The game made it's debut at the "2014 Game Awards" and the hype was real people. But can it deliver? The game is set to be released sometime in 2015 and will be available on the PC and PlayStation 4.

It seems like 2015 is going to be a pretty exciting year for the video game industry. The games above were the ones which I am currently most excited about and let me know in the comments below which games you're most looking forward to in 2015.
