What do we know about the PS4's controller ?

What is up people ?

So the dualshock 4 was released weeks before the console and having a good and close look at the controller we now know what to expect from Sony. The controller keeps its classic looks but due to the redesigned analog sticks it allows for the player to have more control over their actions meaning greater precision.

 The controller's vibration has been enhanced in order for you to really feel those intense moments when you're getting sniped or when you crash into a wall going at 200 mph.

 On the left side of the controller you will see a share button and it's the feature that I am most excited about. Finally people we will be able to capture those unbelievable moments that oddly enough no one was present to see.

 Just like the Xbox the PlayStation controller will now feature a built in mono speaker and headset jack. I think that this is a pretty good solution to the wireless crappy bluetooth headsets. Currently I am using the Xbox headset when I go online to play GTA V and the sound quality is pretty good, so I'm happy that Sony decided to go with some better gear for their next gen console.

 A fresh and original idea was brought by Sony to the next gen controller, the touch pad. At first I wasn't really sure about the idea of a touch pad on the controller because the first thing that came to my head at the time was the Wii U. But having seen the controller now I think its a pretty cool and original idea that will open a huge world of possibilities and a lot of cool games that make use of the feature.

The light bar on the controller looks so cool !!! The colour on the back of the controller will change depending on the situation that you will have to face in a particular game and I think it also changes depending on what number controller you posses. I don't think it'll get old that quickly and will catch people by surprise every time.

Battlefield 4 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Yes or No ?

What is up people ?

If you people haven't heard yet Battlefield 4 is coming out on the Xbox 360, PC and the PlayStation 3. For those of you people who don't know what Battlefield 4 is, it's basically one of the best shooters in the world. The game offers one heck of a multiplayer and its open world environment really bring the setting alive. The weapon selection is not too shabby and the vehicles provided are basically the things that keep you alive. If you've played Battlefield 3 then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

By releasing Battlefield 4 on the Xbox 360,PC and PS3 has its advantages and disadvantages. An advantage would be that the people who are not planning on buying a PS4 or an Xbox One in the near future should only get the game if they're a hardcore battlefield fan, but if you are planning in getting the console well then you should most definitely buy the game when you finally acquire a system of your choice. PC gamers jump right on that grenade. There is no doubt that the game will be one of the best looking games of 2013 and you should not be hesitant when buying this game. The game is worth every penny and its worth checking out asap. 

A disadvantage of the game coming out is that the graphics may not be top notch. I'm not saying that it won't look pretty just like GTA V looks on today's consoles but you might not receive the full experience that you would expect from a battlefield game. Take this into consideration people when you walk into a game store next time and see the game presenting its battlefield goodness.

What external hard drive to get ?

What is up people ?

For the past couple of days I have been dealing with a slight problem. Yes people its storage. My internal hard drive space is pretty low. I'm around the 60gb range on my laptop and I honestly don't want to erase anything. But come on how many memory sticks can we have ? So I decided to do some research on Amazon for some of the cheapest, elegant, sleek and best performance wise external hard drives. There are a lot of cool ones out on the market, but I found three that got my attention.

The first one being the Seagate 2TB expansion. The reason why I particularly like this product is its big storage. Its sleek and elegant design looks awesome accompanied by any computer and the price range is very attractive coming in under seventy-five euro. Its clean and simple but effective. The device is not USB powered and for some people that may cause hassle.

The next hard drive that I thought was quite cool is the Seagate 1TB expansion. The 1TB version is much smaller than its 2TB buddy and its design is totally identical but its got something to it. I think it may be the price range which is just under the sixty euro range. Its small and easy to carry around and looks good anywhere it goes. I think that its not USB powered people so if you are going abroad with this thing be sure to bring an adaptor.

I saved the best for last. The Buffalo Ministation is the one that I think is an obvious winner. The design on the drive is simple and tidy and the device is powered by the USB outlet so no external power will be needed. The device comes in just under a very attractive sixty euro and a two year warranty is included. With a 3.0 USB it enables faster data transfer and retrieval. All of these hard drives are ready to go once you plug them so I guess its convenient for all of us.

New content planned for GTA online !!!

What is up people ?

Since its launch Grand Theft Auto V has been gaining major recognition all around the world. Not long after that the online feature was released and it has absolutely taken the world by storm. The online feature has brought many people together or apart and its a great way to have fun when its a rainy Saturday night and you simply don't want to leave the house.

The guys over at Rockstar are very considerate when it comes to their players and their generosity is clearly shown by small gestures such as the free Elegy in the game's car website. The $500'000 cheque is also on the way.

Rockstar has announced that they will once again reward the player by releasing their brand new "Beach Bum" pack for free. The pack will include new weapons and new beach themed vehicles that will be available for use in both online and offline mode. The pack is to launch sometime in early November so keep your eyes open for that people. The update is also going to include some new tattoos, hairstyles and also new jobs that you and your online buddies will be able to enjoy. The content creator is also going to be a free and awesome feature that I bet most of you people are dying for.

The Wolf Among Us.

What is up people ?

Since the walking dead series has sadly come to an end most of you have been looking for something to fill that void of episode based gameplay. Well look no further The Wolf among us is literally among us.

The game is a series with five episodes based on the DC comic book series Fables. The characters are all out of fairy tales and they exist in the real world for instance the main character is called Bigby Wolf, and people refer to him as the big bad wolf. You know what I mean. I played the first episode and overall I think its an extremely addictive game with brilliant dialogue throughout. There's more control given to the player than there was with the walking dead series and the cartoon type graphics suit me very well. Every choice you will make in the game carries onto the the next episode major so choose wisely people and go with your instinct.

You can purchase all of the five episodes by purchasing a season pass or just pay as you go for the episodes that you want. The game is awesome in every way and I highly recommend for all of you gamers and well written dialogue enthusiasts to give this game a go and you can do that by downloading the free trial. The game is available on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The game will also be available on ios/android later this fall, which I will definitely be downloading as soon as it comes out. Each episode probably will be around the $4.99 range and with the amount of content that we get with this one I think the price range is reasonable.

inFAMOUS Second Son. Will it be amazing ?

What is up people ?

Its another one of those Friday nights and I'm thinking back to the good old days of console announcements and breathtaking game previews. At E3 there was a huge selection of games that I think caught us all by surprise. I was definitely impressed by all of the games that were on display but there was one that completely blew me away and that was Infamous: Second Son. The trailer was super crazy and I liked the relationship that is in existence between the two brothers. Tough love right ?

In the trailer we got see small parts of combat and the young protagonist puts a nice twist on the whole infamous series. The main protagonist is a rebel and I like him, he relates to many young people around the world that want to make a change. It seems like a pretty steady game and no doubt that it will feature fresh and strong story based missions, that will not be easily forgotten.  

The PS4 is only  28 long days away so if you didn't have the time to pre-order one and you're thinking about it now is your chance to jump on it.

What games get me into a festive mood ?

What is up people ?

The festive season is slowly making its way to all of us around the world.(Except Florida they just have sunny weather 24/7). The weather where I live is pretty crappy and its freezing almost everyday but I got great holiday favourites to keep me warm during these cold Winter months that currently dwell upon us or just me. The warmth of the PlayStation and Xbox is all I need and today I'm going to talk about the top games that never disappoint and are sure to put you into that festive mood.

One of my top favourites that I mentioned in some of my previous blog entries is Fallout 3. The game was released back in 2008 and its a game that just keeps on giving.  The game is content rich and only dedicated gamers will achieve one hundred percent completion. Unfortunately I am not one of them but one day maybe I'll be one of those people who achieve fame by completing a game such as this. I played this game so many times around the holiday season that all of the characters are beginning to feel like relatives. Its one that I highly recommend to all of you and it also has a very attractive price coming in at 10 bucks so look out for that one.

The second one that I think put most of you people into the holiday mood in the past and features all of the chilling action, crazy weapon mods and endless chests to loot is Borderlands 2. The Borderlands franchise has taken the world by storm and it had one of the best advertising campaigns of all time. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Borderlands franchise it basically is one of those games that has a unique selling point and the artwork is just magnificent. The dialogue is funny and it will challenge your gamer skills every step of the way. I think the game is around the thirty dollar range so if you want to try something different from the call of duty's and GTA's I honestly think that this is the one for you.

The third one that I picked as one of my festive favourites is The Elder Scrolls Five: Skyrim. I was lucky enough to get this for Christmas back in 2011. The tone that I received from the game is warm and mellow and those songs that play in the background are sure to put you people into the the whole Christmas Spirit. Again for those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, Its an RPG which will immediately grab your attention and immerse you into the world. Trust me people, from the second that you switch on the game everything that revolves around you will just stop. The game has won major awards all around the globe and its a masterpiece of this generation. For those of you who think that your console performance is weak or its not working to its full ability this is the game that will turn all of that around. Check it out especially that the Skyrim Legendary Collection is out now which includes all of the latest DLC's

These are my favourite top three games that I like to play during these festive seasons and they keep me going for an incredible amount of time. I hope that some of you take these awesome games into consideration and relate to me when  it comes to those games that we always crawl back to in the end. Let me know what games you people like to play because I'm open to suggestions.
