Dead Island. Strategy guide.

What is up people ?

As you may or may not know I'm a real zombie game fan. Zombies in the old movies have been portrayed as slow moving type creatures wrapped in toilet paper (Or am I thinking of mummies ?) anyway you know what I mean. I highly recommend such games as dead island or the last of us and if you're an inexperienced gamer who has never played a zombie game it may be tough for you to prepare yourself for such an unbelievable journey across the zombie infested wasteland. Trust me I know.

In this post I'm going to give you some pointers when it comes to playing zombie games which require you to gather supplies, craft weapons and interact with other people. Rule number one always consider your supplies. It is a post apocalyptic world so don't expect for supermarkets to be open 24/7 just for your everyday needs. No. Ammunition is scarce and you can't just go around thinking you can go around shooting walls and testing out your weapons even if there are no enemies in sight. Make every shot count and be aware of what you have in possession.

Rule number two keep your weapons in good shape. When playing a zombie game it is an essential process for you to keep your weapons maintained in good working conditions. Keep your eye on that weapon meter. You never know, one day you could be strolling through the park thinking this is simple I haven't been attacked yet and boom five zombies jump out at you and your weapon is in such bad shape that it barely inflicts any damage on the enemy at that point you are screwed.

Rule number three. Keep good relations. You never know when you're going to need someone's help. You may think that its funny to punch a bystander and say to yourself that was fun, but as the mission progresses you find out that he or she was a vital asset to the completion of the mission. Yeah I know I've been there done that.

Rule number four. Find yourself a safe house in which you can regularly resupply on ammunition, replenish your health and lay low while the zombies lurk outside only waiting to feast on your flesh. Make sure that you establish several outposts so that you're not stuck when one day you decide to go all the way to the other side of the map. That reminds me over to...

Rule number five. Food and Medicine. Always make sure that you have plenty of food and medicine before setting off on your awesome adventures. Food will get your health up slightly but you do have to be prepared for a worst case scenario. Medicine is truly one of those things that gives you the necessary confidence to explore the world around you.

Rule number six. Don't be an idiot be smart when dealing with these monsters. I know that no one wants to lose all of their hard earned supplies to a stupid huge looking zombie. Try to use stealth as often as you can. When an opportunity presents itself take it but follow your conscience. If you feel the timing wasn't right well then it wasn't. Zombie games require your full attention so take your time and savour the moment.

Okay rule number seven. This is one that I still often struggle with. Pack light. You want to act quickly and you never want to be in a situation when you're encumbered. Cardio is one of the most important things that your character may posses so consider it and if the option to choose a character with incredible stamina is there don't hesitate and pick him or her immediately.

These are my seven rules when it comes to zombie games I hoped that they will or have helped you out and thanks for checking this out.

Busiest time of my life.

What is up people ?

So I'm guessing that most of you have been wondering why I haven't been blogging lately and I would like to apologise for that. As you may or may not know I am in my final year of high school and next year I plan on going to a journalism college. But in order for me to do that I have to focus all of my energy on school stuff which means less time for awesome games like GTA V and watch dogs. I now have a solid plan which I'm going to dedicate some of my energy on what I love doing. Which is writing. I promise that from now on you will all receive at least one blog entry a day but if you happen to catch me on a good day you might get two or three.

In 9 short months I will hopefully be preparing myself for the adult world which is sorting out accommodation, cooking for myself which I hopefully will learn one day with some help from my mother.  Its a big step but I have to put all of my effort towards school right now and be sure to check the site regularly to see the new stuff that I will be posting starting tomorrow.

Thanks for checking this out and follow me on twitter @Jacob0527 for regular updates.

Have a safe weekend and see you all soon !!!

Plants vs zombies 2. The review.

What is up people ?

This is one game that I have been waiting for a very long time. I remember that first moment when I stepped on unknown territory which is called the app store and always seeing Plants vs zombies at the top of the list. Being a rookie and all I bought anything that anyone recommended to me, so I took a wild card and purchased the game and its been my all time favourite for a long time. Plants vs zombies 2 has been a game that had its ups and downs along the way but it finally got there meaning the game got delayed a couple of times but playing the game I now see that it was definitely worth waiting.

The game opens up like any other, it teaches you the basic controls the different functions that the power ups have to offer and once you feel comfortable to play the game, you're on your own. The game requires great patience as it takes time for you to defeat the slow moving zombies but the second you do you feel a warm awesome feeling go through you, knowing they're dead once and for all.

The graphics are stunningly beautiful and really do add to your enjoyment of the game. The moving scenery is an absolute pleasure to watch as it doesn't bore you to death by showing you one scene over and over again and with a game like this its a fundamental feature that the player doesn't get bored especially when you can't move around freely. The game rewards the player greatly and the achievements you receive are integrated with the game center very well.

The game is great in every way and if you're the type of person who likes a slow and mellow type of game which is bright colorful and rich with content well then you may want to hit up that app store. The game is free now and does feature in app purchases which to me are completely unnecessary as you can work your way throughout the game perfectly fine.

The game overall is fun and its nice to see that some games don't change. Plants vs zombies 2 does offer some new fresh features and some changes of scenery but overall its the same game that all of us fell in love with that very first day. I give the game a solid 8.5/10 and highly recommend it since it is a freebie.

Sony announces the PS4's release date.

What is up people ?

I am finally back from a very long trip and I'm feeling incredibly jetlagged. It was cool to meet up with a lot of amazing people but now it's time to get back to work. Due to the fact that people over the age of sixty don't enjoy social networking or blogging I wasn't able to upload anything new for you people until now. The first place to look when you are two weeks behind on your game, tech and movie news is your twitter feed and an interesting topic got my attention. The PS4's release date.

So yesterday Sony announced the PS4's release date at Sony's 2013 Gamescom conference which is November 15th 2013 in USA and Canada (and this is the part where all of us people in Europe get screwed ) and November 29th 2013. The console which is 399 euro is beginning to look amazing, but come on Sony why is that 14 day wait put in place ? I know what I'm going to be doing for those 14 days of pain. Watching people unbox their console, play with their colourful new controller and stunningly beautiful next gen games. Oh why do I live in Europe ?

It is clearly obvious that Sony is competing against Microsoft's November release date. Your move Microsoft.

Need for speed. Most Wanted ios review.

What is up people ?

I am back with another awesome weekly app review, and today I will be talking about the strengths and weaknesses that NFS most wanted has to offer.
First of all lets start with the graphics of the game. The game has amazing graphics considering its a game for a handheld device. But let me warn you if you're using an ios device without retina display the colours can become a bit faded and seem pretty stale. If you know what I mean. The game handles smoothly and I was using a4 and a5 processing chips and there was no lag whatsoever.

The game offers a wide range of missions for you to choose from and even though that seems like a good thing at times they seem impossible to complete. The game requires great skill but no matter how hard you try to get a gold reward you receive a silver. Trust me I'm not a weak gamer but this game is simply refusing to cooperate with anyone.(Unless you're a developer)

The controls are simple and easy to use but at times I feel like tilting the Ipad back and forth just gets exhausting and its a good enough excuse for me to put it down and simply stop playing. But don't let this put you off, the game is still enjoyable but right now I feel like nfs is still a game that needs a lot of attention if they want to make their game truly fun and to give the player a true racing experience.

There is a wide range of cars to choose from. The game features many well known brands and it adds some pretty cool features like re-inflatable tyres and some crazy nitrous boosts that enables you to gain that extra push for you to cross the finish line at ease.

Overall the game is pretty good and looks good if you're using a retina display device go for it. But if you want a cool game that looks unbelievable on any device I recommend real racing 3 its cool, awesome, responsive and looks stunning. The best part its free. I give Need for Speed Most Wanted a solid 7 out of 10. The game is fun guys but come on don't punish us for playing it.

Thanks for checking this out and I will also be gone for about two weeks so I will be back and blogging ASAP. Follow me on twitter @Jacob0527 for regular updates about the blog and other awesome news.

See you all soon !!!(In two weeks)

The Last Of Us DLC. What could it be ?

What is up people ?

Recently "The Last of Us" DLC has been confirmed at a Reddit AMA, by creative director Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley. They have both mentioned that the DLC will be a single player add on and will feature one of the game's key characters. Information regarding the DLC will be available hopefully at the end of this month.

To me "The Last of Us" was a perfect game and I don't think that the developers over at Naughty Dog have any intentions of messing around with the main story, but will more likely choose one of the games independent characters such as Bill and will look at the zombie infested world from his perspective.

What I think that the guys over at naughty dog should do with their first DLC is make Bill a playable character. We would then have the option to do various quests that would involve for instance protecting the town from runners or clickers and maybe showing us a little bit of what Bill decided to do right after the outbreak. Sort of what Joel did with the Sarah, that definitely would have been nice to see.
