BioShock Infinite's DLC announced.

What is up people ?

BioShock infinite's new upcoming DLC was just announced and its called "Burial at Sea" although the release date has yet to be announced. It is now currently listed as coming soon. In today's post I'm going to tell you why I'm super excited for this particular DLC. First of all we are back in Rapture(Awesome) we get to see BioShocks amazing underwater world before everything went to hell, you know what I mean splicers, maniacs and creepy moments that scared the crap out of me. You can buy the DLC for 19'99 which is part of the season pass which will contain all 3 awesome packs for your entertainment. You can also get it for 15'99 each when they come out individually.

We get to experience a totally new story and I bet we will also get to meet a new line of interesting characters along the way. I enjoyed Infinite a lot but I always felt like something was missing and it was like I heard Rapture calling my name. It was cool to see how Bioshock was slowly changing and moving towards something else but I liked Rapture and to me it was the perfect video game. There was nothing wrong with it.

If you guys just need some of that good stuff to keep you entertained during the course of the summer check out a pretty cool DLC which was just released yesterday  its called "Clash in the Clouds" which is currently for sale at 4.99 which is a set of brand new challenges which will quench your Bioshock thirst.

BioShock's Elizabeth VS. The Last Of Us Ellie.

What is up people ?

Lately I've been asking myself a question that probably has been on a lot of peoples minds. Who was a better character BioShock infinite's Elizabeth or The Last Of Us Ellie ? This is my personal opinion and some of you might disagree with me but that's fine. We all are entitled to our own opinion.

When I first played Bioshock infinite I thought it was the best game that I have ever played. But not for long. Sure I enjoyed it and I thought it was pretty cool but The last of us totally blew my mind.  Elizabeth was extremely helpful in those times when I was on the edge of death but I didn't feel an emotional attachment to her. With the last of us Ellie I felt completely different. It was cool interacting with her when we explored abandoned buildings and when we picked up the various items that triggered random conversations. I felt like Joel and Ellie were forming their own special bond. With Bioshock I felt that the whole story was more just to get from A to B. With the last of us I got that whole open world feeling, explore whenever you want and pick up whatever you want and most important enjoy every moment.

Both games offered the protect the girl scenario. But I feel that Naughty Dog really understood the concept and really showed their true potential with their plot.
I like how Ellie was more involved in the main story she was with me the whole way till the end. Elizabeth was there but I didn't feel her presence. Yeah she spoke but I sort of ignored her most of the time. I don't know maybe it was that I enjoyed the plot more in The last of us but overall I think that Ellie was a character that had way more personality and she felt more real if you people know what I'm saying.

BADLAND. The Review.

What is up people ?

A couple of weeks back I made a promise to you people that I will try to put up an app review at least once a week. Well I'm sticking to that promise and today I have a great one. Its called BADLAND.

Badland is a game which takes place in a mysterious world and your main objective is to overcome the various obstacles that the world throws at you. When the game begins you take control of the main character which is a "small little fluffy blob". (Like the sweets under the couch) No ? Never mind. Over the course of the game you can duplicate your character into hundreds of little blobs which will help you with the various courses in the game. As you progress through the course you will encounter many power ups along the way which are essential for the completion of the course.

I purchased the game for 3.99 and it was worth every penny especially when the developers over at Frogmind will be adding new levels for free all the time. During the app stores anniversary the game was free and maybe in the future the game may go free. But if you're a person who travels a lot or has a craving for great ios games well then this is definitely a game for you. This is one game that finally gets the controls right, with only one touch to move your character this enables moving around to be super easy and adds greatly to your enjoyment of the game.

If you think its awesome so far well you better listen up. The game also offers multiplayer which works incredibly good on the Ipad. The game can accommodate for up to 4 players and the objective of multiplayer is to see who finishes the course first. So basically its a racing game of sort but instead of using a super sweet racing car you will be using a small little fluffy blob.

The game also has an unbelievable physics engine which means that the game is super smooth with no lag whatsoever. Every noise in the game is different and if you read the tip on the loading screen about wearing headphones well then you can fully appreciate the work that has gone into the game.

Okay I'm going to wrap this one up. The game is different from your everyday "Angry birds" its not colourful and loud. Its dark and eerie and the atmosphere created by the guys at Frogmind is almost peaceful but with a hint of danger. Its a great game which should not be overlooked. Its challenging and will give any of you ios gamers an enjoyable experience. Check this one out, I highly recommend it and for a great game that the guys over at Frogmind have produced I'm going to give them a very solid 9.5/10.

Thanks for checking this out people ! I hope all of you have a great week and follow me on twitter @Jacob0527 for regular updates and news about the blog and other random stuff.

The Amazing Power Ball. The answer to writers fatigue. Check it out.

What is up people ?

So as you may know already I'm the type of guy that spends a lot of time at his computer and lately I've been hearing a lot of complaints on my twitter feed like "Oh my fingers are sore from typing, I think that's enough for today" I know how that feels people and I bet most of you have experienced that feeling before. But if you're like me a productive person who has to get his work done and can't rest until his followers receive their daily blog post. Well then you might want to listen up.

I've been searching the web lately and I think I found a solution. Its called the Power Ball by RPM sports. The Power Ball is a pretty cool and smart device. It might not look like much but trust me you have got to try it. What it basically is its a ball which you have to set in motion by using a cord or your finger. Then you have to build up speed by moving your wrist in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction and then you're finally off. Its really addictive and best of all it actually helps our typing problems people. When you use it your wrist and forearm improve instantly. This device will not disappoint people ! The feeling is unbelievable and all of that tension that was placed in your wrists, forearms biceps triceps is suddenly released. The Power Ball has many different advantages. If any of you are musicians and play drums, guitar or piano well then this is definitely for you. Guitarist can improve their strumming patterns due to the motion of the wrist and they will improve significantly in a short period of time. Trust me I was pretty bad at picking patterns but the power ball has allowed my wrist and fingers to become more flexible and I'm getting pretty good.

All I'm saying is check it out. Its super fun and its amazing how one little ball has so many advantages. If you're the sporty type well then this is one device that you're going to want to add to your Christmas list. You can challenge your friends to see who gets the biggest RPM and who really is the strongest in the group. The best thing is that everyone can get involved and its also a great item to use for your rehabilitation process. There are many different power balls to choose from so prices vary.

What am I currently playing at the moment.

What is up people ?

Today I am going to share with you my top three games that I am currently playing at the moment. One of these games may be outdated(Dead island 2011) to some of you, but I still think its an awesome game for various reasons. As you may know from my previous posts I am a big zombie fan. I love games that require survival and modified weapons and open world is definitely a bonus.

Dead Island:

Dead Island is a great game for many many different reasons. First of all its an open world, head-bashing, zombie killing, weapons modifying type of game. I love it even if there are couple of minor glitches occurring here and there. Second of all its in first person. Come on people who doesn't love a first person zombie game and dead island does it quite well actually. Most zombie games are in third person which is good if you're playing a game like the last of us but with a game like state of decay well then I think it would have been nice to see that in first person. I actually preferred the last of us in third person because it was cool to see the reaction on Joel's face during the different events that were happening and also I think it would have been tough to play that game in first person(Clickers + Runners + First person = COMPLICATED.) Third of all dead island has a wide range of quests to choose from. What would a zombie game be if it missed out on giving control to the player right ? Well dead island gave me so much to choose from that I'm still catching up on quests. EPIC !!!

State Of Decay:

As you may remember I wrote a review for state of decay a while back. Well since then nothing has changed. The game is still really fun, open world madness with zombies and a load of quests to choose from. Its almost like dead island except with dead island I enjoy the first person more than I enjoyed the third person in state of decay. The game is fun and responsive and I really like that whole "find a base, set up camp type of thing". But sometimes I think the game can be a bit ridiculous by having swarms of zombies attacking you from every corner smashing zombie hordes with your vehicle and watching their brains fly all over. Don't get me wrong I think that's a lot of fun but now and again when you want a proper zombie game that offers excitement and thrills around every corner well then you better play the last of us.

The Last Of Us:

The last of us is definitely a game for you gamers that like a strong story driven campaign with awesome weapons and amazing graphics. I must admit its one of my favourites and I would strongly recommend this game to all of you out there.(If you have a PS3 of course) What I like about the last of us is that the crew over at Naughty Dog were very smart when it came to using their zombies. You see, with the last of us you don't get hordes of zombies like in state of decay and still manage to get out alive. With the last of us you have three runners, one clicker and you know you can't run in and smash all of them, you have to think about every move you are going to make and just when you think you survived bang a clicker jumps on your back and eats your neck. Its an amazing game and does everything right. But sometimes we do need a quirky type of zombie game to remind us where it all began. Take dead island for instance it does have its faults but once you get into the weapon modifying and brain smashing all of those problems just disappear.

So there you have it people these are my top three games that are currently keeping me occupied at the moment. Comment down below and tell me what games you're currently playing and tell me why you like them.

"The Last Of Us" Multiplayer

What is up people ?

If you read my last post well then you probably saw me mention that "The Last Of Us" multiplayer is one of the game's features that should not be overlooked. Well I am definitely sticking to that statement and today I am going to talk about the two modes in multiplayer. Survivors and Supply Raid.

Survivors:

Survivors is a pretty cool game mode and I am only 15 hours in and I can tell all of you people its one of the best multiplayer games that I've played in a while. Both game modes only accommodate 8 players but trust me 8 is all you need. You see, this isn't your everyday online shooter. With this one you have to be smart, you have to approach every corner with caution because just when you think you've sneaked passed the enemy you're suddenly being thrown down to the floor with a gun facing you and bang you're gone. You might think that after this happening to me like 50 times I would get bored. But no. You can feel the tension building up when its just you and your enemy down an empty school corridor, with only 3-4 bullets in your revolver, knowing its either you or him.(That feeling never gets old). With survivors you have to be very careful. Its not like call of duty when you can respawn 5 seconds later. In order for your team to be successful you have to take down your enemy's entire team before you can take the win for that current round. Its not for everybody so that's where supply raid comes in.

Supply Raid:

Supply Raid is a more traditional type of multiplayer mode. Its basically a team deathmatch but its harder to kill people than your everyday COD and Battlefield 3. Both teams battle it out, but from my experience people don't jump in like a bunch of idiots shooting everything in sight. Everyone is extremely aware of everything that's going on and that is what will definitely add to your enjoyment of the game. When the match comes to an end then you can hang out in the menu and create custom loadouts customise your character's clothing and appearance.

To finish off let me discuss how you are rewarded at the end of each match. You have your own clan and each match that is a success or not, you gain supplies for the members in your clan. If your match goes better than always well then you gain new members which expand your clan. The bigger your clan is the more people you have to feed right, so that means you will be challenged each time you begin a new match. I hope all of you enjoy the game as much as I do.

The Last of Us. Will it be game of the year ? Spoiler Alert !!!

What is up people ?

Today is the first day of Comic Con. But before all of the amazing events begin I would like to discuss with you people what I thought about "The Last of Us" and does it have enough to battle with upcoming games like "Grand Theft Auto V" ?

The game for me has been an emotional roller coaster. At times I felt my emotions going from totally pissed off by constant clickers and runners to crying my eyes out during the cut scenes(especially when Sarah gets shot by the soldier). But I don't care. This game was one of the best games I ever played and I mean it. I enjoyed every minute of it and I think that an experience like this should not be missed.

The Playstation 3 is an amazing console but at times I felt like some games were a major let down and definitely did not show the PS3's full potential. With the last of us its different. Naughty Dog squeezed every single bit of juice that the PS3 had to offer and gave us gamers and unforgettable experience. (All of you COD gamers I recommend you look away now), the last of us multi player is an experience that should not be missed and offers many game modes which in order to be successful you have to use your brain and put your stealth skills to the test.

Naughty Dog have allowed the PS3 to leave with a bang. The game has danger around every corner and after all the experiences you'e been through you can't trust anyone. Do you remember David ? From that first encounter, I kept my eye on him throughout that scene when I was Ellie and I was forced to team up with him to survive all the clickers and bloaters. In the end I was right David was a major asshole.

Ellie was a character that I really connected with I felt like I had to take care of her she was vulnerable and I really felt this way during the end when I was finally given information that in order for the cure to be successful she would have to die. At that moment I said to myself I'm Joel. I went on this long tiring journey with this girl as my companion and I think its the little things that helped me connect with her like that time she was looking at the ship in the ballroom or when she handed me Sarah's picture.

Overall I think the last of us is an unbelievable game and it currently is my number one all time favourite right now. I know that GTA V is going to be an awesome game and many people will want it to win game of the year but I don't think so. The last of us had such a strong appeal to many players and its a game that will be very tough to beat many years to come. I highly recommend this game to all of you serious gamers out there and you will not be disappointed.

See you all soon !!! And have fun at Comic Con. Also follow me on twitter @Jacob0527.

GTA V gameplay revealed.

What is up people ?

We have finally been given what we were all waiting for GTA V gameplay. First of all I would like to say I really liked the way that Rockstar used one single voice to describe many elements that will be available in the game (I thought it was a pretty nice introduction). Okay heading over to the trailer.

During the first opening scenes of the trailer we are told that Rockstar have tried to re-imagine the open world game in number of ways. Well people I think that its pretty obvious already. Did you see the various landscapes throughout the game ? They look unbelievable. Look at the movements of the boat in the water, look how the car handles on that road. I remember when I first booted up GTA 4. To go from San Andreas to GTA IV was mind blowing, to see how the graphics were so dramatically improved, and I'm hoping that we will once again get to experience that feeling with GTA V.

In the trailer at about 1.40 I heard and saw something that definitely caught my attention. Players can cut between vantage points. That feature is going to be so awesome and I'm guessing that it will play a major role in the story. Also its nice to see some new fresh ideas are being brought to the table. As the trailer progresses we see how we can drop in whenever we want on any of the three characters. Michael is trying to kill his son by cycling and is thinking of sending him to fat camp while Trevor is going crazy in one bad ass pick up truck giving the police a tough time. Further on in the trailer we finally have confirmation of car customisation. That was a feature that I missed in GTA IV. Moving on. We see a nice little plane flying over a train. YES more planes. The option of clothes to buy and sports to play sounds cool and this is probably Rockstars way of giving more control to the player but we have already seen these features in GTA IV. But diving and animal hunting sounds refreshing and it's going to be something cool to mess around with.  I love when the narrator says freaks to watch, meet and befriend. So does this mean that we can create a gang which includes Benjamin Franklin and  Abraham Lincoln I don't know, but if you think about it it would be cool to roll around Los Santos in a Cavalcade with them.  At 3.15 the narrator mentions that there has been a huge focus on mechanics in the game. Which will result in a better player experience, and I'm guessing that there might be some cinematic kills like in Max Payne 3 that would be cool. Further on in the trailer we are told that the improvements in the following areas have been made from driving and shooting to tennis and bike riding. Just as we see the colourful parachute open up I hear my two favourite words when it comes to games "Fun and Responsive". As the trailer moves along we see the serious side of GTA.( By the way is anyone really excited about the tow truck in the game. Ha it was funny when you hooked up a person that had stopped at a red light) We hear of a new fresh idea like the player setting up their own missions and then deciding on how to execute them. The tattoo studio is back in the game meaning ridiculously stupid tattoos on a fictional character, I am in. There is one thing that is not entirely clear to me can we buy cars in the game. But it seems like it, if its in the category of wasting money on materialistic things. At the end of the trailer we have confirmation of one cool feature rising from the dead. Purchasing property. In GTA IV I disliked that we were given safe houses rather than given the option to buy them in the locations that were more convenient to us.

Just before I finish off this game play analysis I would like to say Rockstar have given us everything that we expected in the game, but also they have added new fresh features that will definitely be something to look forward to. So hang in there people enjoy the summer and hopefully September 17th is just around the corner.

Weather 2x. The Review.

What is up people ?

Finally the summer months have hit us and I'm sure all of us have a lot going on at the moment like, house parties, barbecues and hitting the beach. But as you probably know the weather is constantly changing and why let rain ruin your summer plans. I know we can't change the weather but we can predict it. Over the week I have been searching for a cool weather app on the app store which is both informative and accurate but also visually attractive. I think I found the one. It's called Weather 2x.

When you launch the app you are immediately asked if you would like to use your current location and presented before you will be stunning HD image depending on what the weather is like in your location. On the left hand side you will see the name of your current location and below that you will see the current time. On the right side you will see the current temperature and below that you will see the current weather status, Celsius or Fahrenheit depending on your choice. If you slide the screen to the left you will see a chart with a very accurate hourly view and if you then scroll up or down you can see the forecast for the current week.

If you slide the screen to the right you will see the locations that you have chosen to obtain the weather from. On the left hand corner you will see a little plus. If you click that plus you can add more locations and in the right hand corner you will see your settings. From there you can make various changes to your application.

Also one more thing that I forgot to mention. If you click on the bottom left hand corner on the main page you can share the screenshot on Facebook, Twitter and you can send it via email, If you want to inform your friends of the current weather situation.

Okay I'm going to wrap this one up. This app is pretty cool and easy to use. You get  very accurate weather forecasts and it does everything you need it to do. Although for a paid app which is only $0.89 I hope that in the near future we will see a pretty nice update including moving pictures and more features. I give this app a solid 9/10. I think from now on this app will be my everyday weather app.

Thanks for reading people and you can follow me on twitter for regular updates @Jacob0527
